Eddie Izzard Best Song Lyrics

For the benefit of Mr. Kite
There will be a show tonight on trampoline
The Hendersons will all be there
Late of Pablo-Fanques Fair
Have you seen it? Its great. They got stuff.

Over men and horses hoops and garters
Lastly through a hogshead of real fire!
In this way Mr. K. will challenge the world!
With the blue people! They're great! They're just... chilled out!

The celebrated Mr. K.
Performs his feat on Saturday at Bishopsgate.
Nice neck of the woods.
The Hendersons theyre gonna dance and sing
As Mr. Kite flies through the ring don't be late.
Mrs. K and H. assure the public
Their production is second to none baby.
And of course Henry The Horse gonna do the waltz!

Oh you gotta see it, its genius! I mean shes brilliant, shes got the stuff and movements and squats. Horses how do they
do that
stuff? You gotta give her sugar, you know, and shes called Henry and its a lot of explanation but dont worry about it kids.
Ok?
Just tune in, turn off, drop out, drop in, switch off, switch on, and explode.

The band begins at ten to six
When Mr. K. performs his tricks without a sound
And Mr. H. will demonstrate
Ten somersets he's gonna do on solid ground.
Whatever they are!

Having been some days in preparation
A splendid time is guaranteed for all
And tonight Mr. Kite is topping the bill baby! Across the universe.

It's me! I'm on top of the bill! I spent years getting to this point! Im bloody brilliant. This is golden, you gotta see
what I do man. I got horses, and dogs, and cats, and monekys, and blue people. Its just , its such a collection. I spent
years putting it together. You gotta watch it. You gotta see it. Its me. In the thing! Yeah!

Eddie Izzard Dress To Kill

There's no Church of England fundamentalism. We can't have Church of England fundamentalism. You know, like they have Islamic fundamentalism. Jihad!... Aha... Church of England fundamentalism is impossible because you can't have: "You must have tea and cake with the vicar... or you die!"
Two languages in one head? No one can live at that speed! Good Lord, man, you're asking the impossible! "But the Dutch speak four languages and smoke marijuana!" Well... yes, but they're cheating! Everyone knows that marijuana is... a drug enhancement that helps you on track and field to come last... in a team of eight million... eight million other runners who are all... dead.
But in Britain we don't win many gold medals at the Olympics, because we've chosen not to. It's a political statement, 'cause we hate our national anthem. Because it's "God Save the Queen," you see. God save the queen. Now the queen lives in a very big house with barbed wire outside and people with guns in front of that. That's one saved fucking queen, I tell you.
Then I had to chat up girls. I'd never used my voice to do that. When your voice is breaking, it's hard. [silkily] "Why, Susan, I really... [squeakily]...kind of fancy you. I saw you in the... [squeaks]...playground." I had to chat up girls. I'd only tagged them before. I didn't have the power to say "Susan, I saw you in class today, as the sun shone with a brilliant light that caught your hair. It was haloed. You turned. Your eyes flashed fire into my soul. I immediately read the words of Dostoyevsky and Karl Marx, and in the words of Albert Schweitzer, I-i-i-i-i fancy you."

Eddie Izzard Comedy Quotes

Eddie: If you've never seen an elephant ski, then you've never been on acid. Eddie: I've done a bit of Latin in my time...but I can control it.
Eddie: Horseshoes are lucky. Horses have four bits of lucky nailed to their feet. They should be the luckiest animals in the world. They should rule the country. They should win all their horse races, at least. "In the fifth race today, every single horse was first equal...one horse threw a shoe came in third...the duck was ninth...and five ran."
Eddie: You notice how they always put the fruit and veg at the entrance to the supermarket? You go in thinking 'this is a fresh shop, everything in here is FRESH! I will do well to shop here' You never go straight to the bit with the toilet paper, loo brushes and such do you? You'd think 'this is a POO shop! Everything in here is themed on POO!'
Eddie: San Francisco! City of dreaming spires, people live here...Golden Gate Bridge, ahh the Romans came here.
Eddie: I grew up in Europe, where the history comes from.
Eddie: If you're choking in a restaurant you can just say the magic words, "Heimlich maneuver," and all will be well. Trouble is, it's difficult to say "Heimlich maneuver" when you're choking to death.
Eddie: I am a professional transvestite, so I can run about in heels and not fall over. Cause if a woman falls over wearing heels, that’s embarrassing. But if a bloke falls over wearing heels, you have to kill yourself. It’s the end of your life.
Eddie: You say, "Do you want a cup of coffee?" and she says, "Yeah, okay." Then sex is on, yes? Doesn't always work, though. If the President of Barundi says do you want a cup of coffee...
Eddie: Most transvestites fancy girls.
Eddie: When you're a transvestite, you're actually a male tomboy.

Reviews About Eddie Izzard

I attended on the 6th of December, as did Pete below, and seem to have been watching an entirely different show! The audience were clearly loving every second, as was I. Granted, he does sometimes get a little too wacky, but he admits it himself. Those in the audience who didn't know the meaning behind "Covered in bees" which progressed to "Covered in Darth Vaders" could be forgiven for being a little lost, but I dare say I'd slap someone who didn't thoroughly enjoy the scene with the soldier impaling himself slowly on his opposing soldiers 20 foot spear, or the discussion of the impracticallities of using Latin in an emergency. While I didn't enjoy it quite as much as I did Circle or Dress to Kill the first time I saw them on DVD, I thought it was a superb night out, and would suggest the show to anyone. - Becki

my wife and i attended on 6th December and left after the intermission! We know his comedy style etc..etc.. but we found this just wasnt funny. The audience didnt seem to be howling with laughter,it was quite subdued, and missing a certain something. His die hard fans in the audience were laughing but they were in the minority.Very disappointing - pete

Hamlet - why not - he looks like Ken Branagh now - doesnt he? And he's got a wider range I think, judging by the performance I saw last night, passion, pathos and how to deliver a line to good effect - even to the point of noting to himself which lines may need a little more work - reminds one of Frankie's Howards "Oh please yourself" when the jokes dont deliver the right amount of positive audience response! A great night out - mature surreal humour - what better to start the week! - DJ
