Eddie Izzard is coming to Aberdeen with his first UK tour in six years.Comedy wizard Izzard will perform his first stand-up gig in Aberdeen on November 4 at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre.

Eddie Izzard recently broke box-office records, selling out a five-week stint in London's West End in less than 48 hours.A similar clamour for tickets is expected for the Aberdeen gig, just added as part of Eddie Izzard’s UK tour, named Stripped.The Aberdeen gig was to go on pre-sale to Eddie Izzard’s fan club members today and will go on sale to the general public from 10am on Monday.

The Aberdeen gig comes hot on the heels of Eddie Izzard’s American sell-out run across 34 US cities – including three nights at New York's legendary Radio City Music Hall.Eddie Izzard is one of the UK’s most popular comedians, hailed as one of the foremost stand-ups of his generation.

He was voted in at number three in the 100 Greatest Comedians in a Channel 4 programme, edged out only by Peter Kay at number two and Billy Connolly at number one.Eddie doesn’t work from a script during his stand-up act – blaming his dyslexia – and often just jumps between topics as they occur to him.And Izzard said in one interview: “I just talk complete bull.
